Day 1 – Milford Sound, A Must-Do Trip In New Zealand

Enjoy a memorable and un-hurried full day excursion with a local guide to Milford Sound on a small coach. Described as the most scenic alpine drive in the world, this is the best option into and out of Milford Sound. Experience a leisurely, small group, day trip to Milford Sound from Fiordland Lodge, including a boat cruise along the full length of the fiord to the Tasman Sea. Our relaxed timetable ensures the best opportunity to enjoy walks, scenic stops and explore this iconic landscape from mountains to sea. Pick up and drop off directly from Fiordland Lodge.

Day 2 – Doubtful Sound Wilderness Cruise

Departing from Manapouri (a 25-minute drive from Fiordland Lodge). Explore the vast wilderness of New Zealand’s best-kept secret. As you experience the peace and seclusion of the 40km length of waterways, you’ll feel connected to real New Zealand nature in one of Fiordland’s most spectacular and expansive fiords.

Duration: 7 hours
Start with a cruise across Lake Manapouri, followed by a coach trip over the epic Wilmot Pass through Fiordland’s rainforest and into the Sound
A 3-hour cruise through the waterways of Doubtful Sound
